All about life coaching and Wellbeing empowerment
Life coaching can be defined as a dynamic communication process or partnership between coach and client, with the intent of directly addressing the things you would like to change in your life.
Coaching is based on the belief that each of us is a whole person, capable of generating our own solutions to achieve the outcomes we desire.
According to the International Coach Federation, coaching “is a profession that supports personal and professional growth and development based on individual-initiated change in pursuit of specific accountable outcomes.”
Life Coaching is forward-moving and future-focused.
Coaching is a purposeful dynamic questioning process that helps you to focus your thinking in a laser-like fashion.
This allows you to more clearly see what it is you need to change in order to move forward.
The process of Wholistic Life Coaching helps to
- Uncover any limiting thoughts you may have subconsciously been agreeing to.
- explore the purpose of these limiting beliefs,
- see where they came from
- and they may be preventing you from moving toward the change/goals you desire.
Wholistic Life coaching and Wellbeing Empowerment Coaching is designed to get to the heart of the matter of what is keeping you from having the life you dream of.
This coaching relationship can be viewed as a recharging post for you where you can the energy you need to overcome hurdles that may be keeping you from pursuing your goals.
A coach views each client as whole person who can draw on their personal resources and creativity to generate their own answers and direction.
The coach provides the skills and the space so you can find those resources within.
So Who uses a Wholistic life coach?
Generally, coaching clients are fully functioning individuals who have a desire or vision to improve or enrich a certain area of their life. Examples are;
- Wanting to achieve a significant weight loss goal,
- improved health and wellbeing,
- Overcoming poor self confidence,
- achieving more business success,
- Improve personal relationships,
Life coaching prospects are fully functioning people from all walks of life. They are not seen as broken, nor do they need fixing. Rather, they seek guidance, support and accountability in creating a breakthrough in their lives.
Why use a life coach?
You may have heard the expression that it is hard to see the whole picture when you are inside the frame. An impartial person, who is outside the frame, viewing the whole picture, such as a coach, can more easily envision a path to success and thus guide you to a deeper understanding of what stands in your way.
Whilst many people achieve success on their own, studies show that people who work with a coach almost always achieve more than those who go it alone.
What can I expect from life coaching?
Among the outcomes people can expect from working with a coach area fresh perspective on life,
- increased ability to make important decisions,
- greater ability to commit to action and follow through,
- increased confidence and life satisfaction,
- improved feelings of self empowerment,
- more positive perceptions about life.
What would partnering with a wholistic life and Wellbeing Empowerment Coach look like?
In our daily lives we often become so enmeshed in our own history, personal story and habitual patterns that we are unable to see a situation clearly and truthfully.
As I once read: “It is hard to see the picture when you are in the frame”.
By helping you to see you own life from outside the frame, a Wholistic Life Coach helps you define
- who you are,
- what you want,
- what you stand for,
- what you want to achieve,
- why you want to achieve it,
- What you are prepared to do to achieve your goal.
Wholistic Life Coaches provide synergy and structure to this process by using deep strategic, purposeful questioning and enquiry that is designed to uncover limiting beliefs and patterns.
A coach’s support enables you to:
- Decide what your goal is
- Formulate realistic action plans
- and uncover possible obstructions to activating those actions.
A Life coach also provides a basis for accountability, which enables you to take the actions that are necessary to generate your desired outcome.
Once you have discovered what’s holding you back, the role of the coach is to guide you on a journey of self-discovery designed to enable you to make new empowering decisions, choices and realistic plans for new action.
What Life Coaching is not?
Coaching is not therapy, psychological counselling or mentoring.
It is important to recognise that life coaching is not a form of therapy nor is it a substitute for professional counselling. Coaching does, however, use some techniques based on clinical psychological processes.
I define myself as a Wellbeing Empowerment and Emotional Breakthrough Coach because I apply an integrated Wellness therapy approach which enables me to, where necessary, combine Wholistic Life Coaching skills with NET, other mindset change techniques, clinical nutrition and homeopathy.
By combining several processes, the root cause of any limiting self sabotaging beliefs can be uncovered and released, while the body is supported to more readily process the changes that are occurring.
Wellbeing Empowerment Coach I provide the information, direction and support, needed to help you establish your own definition of wellbeing and to develop new strategies so that you can achieve your goals.
Largely my role is as a Wellbeing Navigator who charts your path
Wellbeing Empowerment Coaching provides a solid foundation that:
- supports your own self empowerment,
- allows you open up to your own knowing and intuition.
By exploring the bigger picture, you get to understand yourself more deeply and become aware of what your limiting self-talk may be. With this new understanding, you are supported to move towards your own version of what your flourishing life to be.
